My boyfriend and I had a HUGE fight three weeks ago, something small turned into something catastrophic. We have a tendency to have arguments in text I know very silly for 37 year old woman and 38 year old man.

We had knock drag out text argument that resulted in me packing his stuff and dropping it off at his mother's house where was and a HUGE blowout between us. We continued to argue in text for weeks, and are just know speaking. We have not been able to go more than a day without speaking. I am hurt too but now it has been three weeks since we seen each other.

He maintains that he is still in love with me and wants to be with me and even willing to go to counseling with me, but he has drastically changed everything in how he is to me. I finally asked him if he feels loves me this way, why doesn't he show me and why did he change so drastic?

He said because I wont let him, and I keep hounding him like I am setting a time limit on his hurt and recovery, yet we still talk at least once a day, and its killing me. Now I did take into account what he said, I have fallen back alot. I don't want to give up on him, but this doesn't even feel like relationship anymore.

He is so distant it scares me. I feel like all is lost and we will never recover despite what he says. We have acknowledged and apologized for our roles in where we are, but it doesn't feel like we are gaining ground to recovery. I am to the point where I don't even know what to say anymore.

If I say something and he responds to me short, I get frustrated. If doesn't respond at all, I get distrustful thoughts. When he reaches out to me first I get confused. If we don't make it wasn't meant to be. To give you some insight I was very much involved in his life and his family's life and have professed to be being the love of each other's life. I know everything is not perfect, and we are falling apart.

He always compares thing to older couples in Jet magazine, and says do you think they never went through things? Maybe I am over-thinking because I am hurt and I am trying not to keep expressing it text and leave him be. I am going away for the weekend with my girls to really give it space. I am sick to death I don't know what else to do. I get the impression he keeps texting you to prevent you from moving on. I would suggest you let him have his space and time by not answering those texts.

Take some time for yourself and figure out if this relationship is truly beneficial to you. I was already headed that direction. We text yesterday it was so dry and text you later type thing. After that I had made the decision to leave it be.

I am out of town now clearing my head. Going to hang out with my best girlfriends and do my thing. I have not made any contact with him and don't intend to. What may be working for him is not something I am comfortable with, and like you said he does not want me to move on. The sad thing is I know him well enough to know that once he feels me slipping away I don't know about that I really don't trust it at all.

Actions speak way louder than words any day. Don't worry about him, he has to deal with his own issues. I will do that. I am going get some good sleep tonight You are right I been sitting the house for 3 weeks I didn't even stop home I do feel ALOT better already Oh Mercy, don't forget the mannie, and the petie, never go half way!
